PSNOOK Wheelchair Leg Straps Installation & Use Guide
How to fit and adjust the PSNOOK Wheelchair Leg Straps. Follow the complete product instructions for the version you use.
Before Setup
- Open both wraps and inspect the fastening surfaces.
- Prepare the feet and footrests for the selected arrangement.
- Plan access to both closures for adjustment and transfers.
Installation Steps
-
Prepare the seated position
With the chair prepared for fitting, place the feet on the footrests in the position specified for the user. Open the wraps and identify the small hook patch and the longer loop-covered surface. The set contains two wraps, one for each side.
-
Wrap the lower leg and side frame
Bring the open wrap around the lower leg and the adjacent vertical chair-side frame member together, keeping the broad material flat. Use a frame route permitted by the chair instructions and the individual care plan, clear of moving parts.
-
Press the hook patch onto the loop surface
Overlap the ends and press the hook patch against the loop-covered surface. Reopen and reposition the closure to adjust the wrap instead of twisting the material. Repeat for the other leg, checking that the feet remain in the intended position without overtightening.
-
Keep the two arrangements distinct
This model also supports a foot/footrest arrangement when the chair and care instructions permit it. That route acts around the foot and footrest. The steps above describe the lower-leg and side-frame arrangement; use the instructions for the selected arrangement rather than copying the lower-leg route onto the foot.
-
Check and open the wraps
Keep each closure reachable. Check comfort, flatness, and clearance from the wheels, brakes, and folding parts. Peel the hook patch away from the loop surface to open a wrap, following the user's removal and transfer routine.
After Setup Checks
- Keep each broad wrap flat around the selected route.
- Press the hook patch fully onto the loop surface.
- Check comfort, release access, and clearance from chair mechanisms.
During Use Checks
- Recheck the wrap after a change in posture, clothing, footwear, or chair setup.
- Keep each closure engaged and accessible throughout supervised use.
When to Adjust or Remove
- Open and reposition a wrap that rolls, shifts, or causes discomfort.
- Remove the wraps for transfers according to the individual care routine.
- Replace a damaged wrap or a fastening that no longer grips.
Daily Inspection
- Inspect the wrap fabric and hook-and-loop surfaces.
- Clear lint from the fastenings and check their grip.
- Recheck the route after changing footrest or chair settings.
Use the arrangement specified for the individual and chair. Keep the closure reachable and follow the required supervision and removal routine.
