PSNOOK Two-Point Wheelchair Lap Belt Installation & Use Guide

How to fit and adjust the PSNOOK Two-Point Wheelchair Lap Belt. Follow the complete product instructions for the version you use.

Before Setup

  • Inspect both strap sections, adjusters, stitching, and buckle.
  • Prepare the two chair-side attachment points.
  • Use the individual seating position and release routine specified for the wearer.

Installation Steps

  1. Identify the left and right sections

This model has two separate strap sections that join at the front buckle. Each section needs its own suitable chair-side attachment point. Confirm both points against the chair instructions and the user's positioning plan before fitting.

  2. Loop the first strap around its attachment point

Take the strap around the approved frame attachment point and return its free end to the slotted adjuster. Feed the end through the first slot and pull it through to remove excess slack, keeping the 2-inch webbing flat.

  3. Return through the second slot

Bring the free end back through the second adjuster slot to complete the return path. Adjust the length at the loop, then repeat the same process at the other approved chair-side point. Keep both routes clear of wheels, brakes, and folding parts.

  4. Connect and adjust the lap belt

Bring the two buckle halves together across the intended lap position and insert them until engaged. Adjust both sections for the required fit within the 12–60 inch installed range. Each individual strap is 35 inches long, with some material used around the chair-side route and adjuster.

  5. Check and release

Check the two attachment loops, flat webbing, buckle engagement, comfort, and release access. Press both buckle side tabs to open it. Follow the user's supervision and transfer routine; this belt is for seated positioning and is not a vehicle restraint.

After Setup Checks

  • Check the return threading at both side adjusters.
  • Keep the lap webbing flat and the front buckle accessible.
  • Review comfort and the installed length.

During Use Checks

  • Recheck the two attachment loops and buckle after changes to seating or clothing.
  • Maintain the supervision and inspection routine in the care plan.

When to Adjust or Remove

  • Release and reposition the belt if it shifts, twists, or causes discomfort.
  • Replace frayed webbing, damaged stitching, or a buckle that fails to engage.

Daily Inspection

  • Inspect the polyester webbing on both sections for cuts, fraying, and abrasion.
  • Check cross-box stitching and the areas where the straps meet the hardware.
  • Check both adjusters and the POM buckle for damage and normal operation.
  • Recheck routing and installed fit after cleaning or reinstalling the belt.

For seated positioning support, not vehicle restraint. Both attachment routes must suit the chair. Keep release access clear and follow the care plan.
