Installation & use
PSNOOK Quick-Release Wrist and Ankle Straps Installation & Use Guide
How to fit and adjust the PSNOOK Quick-Release Wrist and Ankle Straps. Follow the complete product instructions for the version you use.
Before Setup
- Inspect both cuffs, closures, webbing, stitching, and buckles.
- Prepare the intended limb position and equipment attachment.
- Arrange caregiver access to the cuff closure and strap buckle.
Installation Steps
-
Separate the two adjustments
Identify the padded cuff, its hook-and-loop closure, the quick-release buckle, and the longer attachment strap. Cuff circumference and attachment distance adjust separately. Use only under an appropriate supervised care plan with the intended limb and equipment attachment approved.
-
Wrap and close the padded cuff
Place the padded face inward and wrap the cuff flat around the intended wrist or ankle. Pass the cuff's closure tab through the slot on the buckle-side fitting, fold the tab back, and press it onto the hook-and-loop surface. Adjust to the fit specified for the wearer without overtightening.
-
Thread the long attachment strap
At the approved fixed attachment point, take the long webbing around the point, feed its free end through the first slot of its adjuster, and bring it back through the second slot. Pull through to adjust the attachment length while keeping the webbing flat. Use equipment instructions to select the actual attachment point.
-
Connect the buckle
Bring the buckle half on the long strap to the buckle half on the cuff and push them together until they engage. Check the connection and release access, then review cuff fit and attachment distance separately under the care instructions.
-
Release the connection or open the cuff
Press the buckle's side tabs to separate the cuff from the long strap. That quick-release action disconnects the attachment; the cuff can remain closed around the limb. To remove the cuff itself, peel open its hook-and-loop tab and undo the wrap. Keep both operations accessible during supervised use.
After Setup Checks
- Check the cuff closure and the long strap threading separately.
- Check buckle engagement and attachment distance.
- Keep both release mechanisms accessible.
During Use Checks
- Monitor comfort and skin contact during supervised use.
- Recheck the cuff and attachment when the wearer changes position.
When to Adjust or Remove
- Release the attachment and open the cuff if the fit causes discomfort or a skin change; follow the care plan before resuming.
- Replace damaged webbing, stitching, padding, or buckle parts.
Daily Inspection
- Inspect padding, hook-and-loop surfaces, webbing, stitching, and buckle parts.
- Check that the buckle engages and releases smoothly.
- Follow the product drying instructions after wiping.
