PSNOOK Adjustable Arm Sling How to Wear & Adjust the Sling

Follow the three pictured strap layouts, position the forearm supports, and adjust the detachable Y-shaped closures before shortening the strap.

Start with the open fastening

Support the arm while opening the hook-and-loop closures. Lay the fabric flat and identify the sections that will pass under the forearm and the long section that runs over the shoulder or behind the neck. The same sling can be arranged for the left or right arm.

Parallel-front layout

For this layout, pass the long section behind the neck, with two straight strap sections descending in front. Arrange the lower sections under the forearm at two places: near the elbow and near the wrist. Keep the broad fabric flat under the arm and close the hook-and-loop connections above it.

Crossed-front layout

For this layout, the strap still passes behind the neck, but the two descending front sections cross over each other before supporting the forearm. Keep the crossing in front of the body, with the broad fabric flat where it supports the arm.

Arm sling in the crossed-front layout: the two front sections cross above the supported forearm and the strap passes behind the neck.

Diagonal-back layout

For this layout, take the long section over the opposite shoulder and diagonally across the back toward the underarm on the supported side. Arrange the front sections to support the forearm near the elbow and wrist. Keep the fabric flat along this route.

Adjust the Y-shaped closures

The detachable Y-shaped hook-and-loop tabs connect to the fabric strap ends. Peel the tabs open, change the fastening position to adjust the length, then press the fastening surfaces together again. With the arm supported, check that the fabric lies flat and the closures hold. Use the arm position and wearing time specified by your care professional.

Shorten only after checking the fit

First establish the chosen layout using the uncut strap. If excess length needs shortening, remove the detachable Y-shaped tab from that strap end, cut only the excess fabric, and reattach the tab around the shortened end so it grips both faces. The tab is reusable; cutting the fabric permanently removes length. Recheck the fastening and support position after refitting.

Open the sling while supporting the arm

Support the forearm before peeling the closures apart for removal or another adjustment. The wearer or an assisting person should be able to reach the fastening. Inspect the fabric, seams, and tabs before putting the sling back on.
