Fabric supports the forearm
The sling uses soft poly-cotton fabric for the forearm support. The fabric support and the shoulder strap are different parts: the 71-inch measurement refers to the shoulder strap.
The shoulder strap provides length adjustment
The long strap lets you establish the required length before deciding whether excess material needs to be shortened. Once cut, the removed length cannot be restored.
How the fastening closes
The detachable Y-shaped tabs grip the fabric strap ends. Their hook surfaces press onto the loop-compatible fabric to close and peel away to open. Remove and refit the tab when adjusting the strap end or shortening excess fabric.
